First of all, this picture was drawn using three screenshots for Wolf's Rain. ((Any wolf's Rain fan knows that this is the part where Kiba takes out one of Tsume's henchmen.)) I sketched it late last night/early this morning (around 3 AM ) then updated it on here for quick digital coloring.

The meaning of this sketch is NOT Kiba, nor anything to do with Wolf's Rain. It is a scene from DoP, a Pokemon RP site that I happen to own/belong to. My character, Ashuri, had come across a mortally wounded Poliwag. She healed it, and it let her stay in a nearby oasis for a while. While resting, she and her party found a berry bush that had been poisoned - fatal to small Pokemon.

Ashuri, furious, went in search of the person responsible - a Hiker with spiked boots. The following is what happened afterwards. ((Text enclosed in *'s are responses in the RP by Goldeneye, or ))

**Soulfyre turned to you with what sounds like the sound of sucking air between her teeth in an attempt at a snort. Then, she motions to the ground. Looking closer, you can make out a slight footprint in the ground. A bootprint. With spikes on it.**


Ashuri's teeth ground together angrily. Spikes registered in her mind. She looked up, her nose flaring like it does when she's angry. "Windie.." she said, her voice a dangerous whisper. "Windie, come here."

Windie slunk over like a puppy caught doing something bad. "Can you track this?" She pointed at the bootprint.

Windie sniffed it then nodded. Ashuri growled, "Then do so. River. Fluvious. Round up the others, we've got hunting to do. Ask Poliwag if he'd be so kind as to accompany us."

**Instantly, the two Vaporeon jump up to do as you say; evidently, they have sensed the fury in your voice. Within moments, all your Pokemon are by your side, gazing down at the bootmark. last to come is the Poliwag.

"Pol...?" He queries, looking down. Instantly, his face changes to one of fear.

"POL! POLI!" He screams, leaping back a few feet to bump into Soulfyre.**

Ashuri picks up the Poliwag and gently runs her hand over its damp head. "We're going to catch this guy. We're going to catch him, and make him pay for what he's done to you. Understand, baby-doll?"

She put him on the ground and crawled up onto Windie's back, barking out orders. "Windie. Follow those tracks. Echo, Soulfyre, Faf. Get up in the air, and scout for trouble. River, Fluvius. You stay with that Poliwag and keep it wet and healthy. Everyone else.. we're gonna need backup."

Frostbite climbed up around Soulfyre's neck. Soulfyre flapped her huge wings and lifted from the ground, Echo and Faf following suit. Windie began to lope across the desert, his nose tight to the ground. Ashuri meant business. He pitied this trainer when she finally caught him.

**Suddenly, over the horizon, you see a speck. Looking closer, you see a Hiker walkign along, stomping his boots into the dirt. The Poliwag cowers, looking terrified.

I think you just found your target.

There he is. Velocity confirms your suspicions with a snarl.

Let's catch him up.**


Up in the air, a blast of flame scorched the sky, followed by a second, tiny flame and a flash of ice. It looks as if the scouts also spotted him. Windie was nearly on him in a flash.

A huge Arcanine came flying over a dune, and skidded in front of the Hiker, his huge paws digging into the sand. His eyes were glowing eerily yellow, and in his open, snarling mouth, the light of a building fire illuminated his throat.

A noise behind him made him turn to see a girl, crouched down as she had landed cat-like, with two Vaporeon by her side. She looked up at him, and he was startled to see hatred etched in her face, her own eyes seemingly glowing the way the Arcanine's did.. but maybe it was only a reflection of the light from the Arcanine's throat.

On his left, a massive Charizard touched down, with a Sneasel menacingly coiled around its neck, its huge wings flaring out impressively, and the dragon's head snapped up, its chilling blue-grey eyes full of malice.

And on his right, an Articuno landed gracefully, extending her own wings, chilling the air around them and causing hailstones to litter the ground like daggers.

The Hiker was cornered.

**"Hey!" he exclaimed, backing off only to hear a growl behind him and sees Velocity.

"What gives you the right to attack me?" He looks around uneasilly, as he moves back to the center.

"I never did anything wrong..." Under his breath, he mutters,

"She couldn't know... she couldn't..." Suddenly, he sees the Poliwag, and gasps, before disguising his recognition with confusion.**

Ashuri's voice was frightening. It was like three voices in one. One medium pitched, normal human voice - the voice Velocity knew as Ashuri's own voice. But Velocity stared in awe when her delicate ears picked up the other two. One was high, almost canine yelping. The other was a low, sinister growl. All three blended to make one echoing, frightening voice.

"How. DARE. You. How DARE you do this to Pokemon? HOW DARE YOU?!"

She snarled, baring her teeth, even though they were only human teeth, in the eerie light, they seemed much sharpedr. Windie backed this up with a wicked snarl and a sharp, rattling intake of breath behind him.

**The Hiker cowers, then a thought occurs to him. His hand snaps to his belt and he grabs three Pokeballs. Releasing them, he has a Golem, a Jolteon and a Seviper. He lets out a grin.

"Well..." He smiles,

"So what if I did? You can't stop me. I bet even you've resorted to methods not all that different from mine to get strong pokemon. And it has got me many before. I do it all round the place; it also helps the wild by killing the weak." His smile grew wider.

"And if you can't see that through words.. .Well, I'll just have to show you how it works via demonstration." **

Ashuri's cold eyes grew colder and her voice dropped to a snarl. "I will not hurt your Pokemon, you bastard." She snapped. But, she couldn't leave herself open for attack either. Windie didn't move, and either did Echo, Soulfyre, or Frostbite. She couldn't use them, they were blocking his escape.. who did that leave...?

"Raiiii!" Darkness stepped up and faced the Jolteon. He nodded curtly to it and winced at the sight of the bruises underneath its gaunt frame and staticky fur. I don't want to fight you, Jolteon. Tell me.. are you loyal to your master? Because that is the only way I will fight you...

Nearby, Drills stepped closer to stare at the Golem. A Hiker once abused me too, Golem. Unlike you, I don't have a boulder shell I can hide behind. And like Darkness.. I fight you only if you want to protect that maniac.

Which left the Seviper. Suprisingly, it was Zenigame who faced him, smiling disarmingly. She didn't say anything, but noted large bruises and long cuts on the Seviper, and bowed slightly to him.


**The Jolteon stared in astonishment at Darkie's words.

"Jol... Jolteon..." To tell you the truth... after I was caught, I didn't think about it much. I merely believed that I was his, and there was nothing I could do...

So are you for or against? Your Raichu asks. The Jolteon pauses, thinks.

At first, I felt he fed me, he watered me, and that was enough. But now I see there is more to a kind trainer than giving the bate minimum to survive. I say... No. And the Jolteon steps aside iwth a bow. The Hiker stares, looks panicked.

"What?!?" He shouts.

"Jolteon, get back there. Did you hear me? I said GET BACK THERE NOW!" Meanwhile, the Golem looked at Drills with surprise.

I was never given an option I just blindly fought. But now, given an option... I say... no. And he too steps back. Now it is only Seviper. The Hiker looks somewhat desperate now, as he turned to the pokemon.

"Seviper... please... I fed you, and gave you water, and trained you..."

"Sev. Seviper." No. You leveled me up, and kept me alive. That was all. Replies the Seviper, and, bowing her head to the Squirtle, moves aside.

Now, no pokemon stood defending the hiker. He looks nervous, coughed, laughed slightly.

"Can we talk about this...?"**

Ashuri did not smile at the victory. She merely said. "Did you let your Pokemon 'talk' about the treatment you gave them?"

She took a quiet step forward, and her backpack slipped from her shoulders in front of her. She raised her hands, and to the suprise of the hiker, her fingernails seemed to lengthen and sharpen into deadly claws. His eyes widened.

"Did your Pokemon have a say in the matter as you starved them? Did this Poliwag speak to you? Did you 'talk' to the Pokemon you tried to poison?" Her teeth did look sharper.. wait.. they were growing.. sharpening into canine fangs.

Velocity stepped back in awe, and Windie bowed low as in front of him, Ashuri slowly began to mutate. Slowly, but surely, her human features were replaced with those of a wolf. Within a few painful, long minutes, standing just where Ashuri had been standing was a proud, strong, white wolf. A proud wolf.. with dagger fangs and eyes aimed for the throat of the Hiker.

Her voice was not something corporeal now, but a stabbing knife in the minds of all those within hearing distance.

No, Hiker. We cannot talk about this.

Ashuri's seasoned Pokemon turned away and closed their eyes as her jaws closed over the throat of the Hiker. They knew just how red blood could be.
